Really Fresh

The central focus of this work is to question the act of chopping and its connection to violence within a specific context. Through this piece, I aim to explore the metaphorical reality of recurring domestic violence, symbolically represented by the erosion of vegetables. The gradual deterioration of the vegetables serves as a metonymic representation of the extensive mutilation experienced by the victims of such violence.
By employing this visual metaphor, I intend to draw attention to the physical and emotional harm inflicted upon individuals affected by domestic violence. The act of chopping becomes a powerful symbol, highlighting the destructive nature of violence within intimate relationships. The juxtaposition of the vulnerable nature of vegetables with the harsh act of chopping underscores the urgency to address and confront the issue of domestic violence.
